Michael Fruchey

Candidate, Allen County Surveyor

Fruchey began his engineering career with the City of Fort Wayne Transportation Section in 1995 as an Engineering Technician working in field inspection. Through this time, he achieved his Professional Engineering license from the State of Indiana and worked in various positions culminating in serving as Associate Director of Transportation Engineering Services from 1999 to 2006.

Mike Fruchey was sworn in as County Surveyor on September 16^th, 2022 as the result of a caucus to fulfill the term of Surveyor Jeff Sorg. Prior to serving as County Surveyor, Fruchey served as a County Engineer for the Highway Department and as a Hydrologist for the Surveyor’s Office.

From the Fall semester of 2007 until the Spring Semester of 2019, Fruchey served as a Continuing Lecturer in the Construction Engineering Technology baccalaureate program at Purdue Fort Wayne, including teaching five semesters of Hydraulics and Drainage.
